Whether you’re baking for a birthday party of six or a wedding of eighty, one of the most common questions is: will there be enough? We’ve put together honest, real-world estimates for both cake servings and cupcake box capacities to help you plan.

Keep in mind — every estimate here is exactly that. Slice sizes vary, frosting takes up space, and no two bakers pack a box the same way. Use these numbers as a starting point, not a guarantee.


Cake servings by size

Round cakes are the classic centrepiece. Here’s what you can realistically expect to serve from each size:
