Description
Description
Water based liquid red food colour is a liquid food colouring used to add red or pink shades to a wide range of foods and drinks. The water soluble formula blends easily into batters, icings, desserts, syrups and beverages, allowing colour to be adjusted gradually by adding small amounts until the desired shade is reached.
It is commonly used in cake batters, buttercream, royal icing, glazes, jelly, custards and drink preparations where a bright red tone is required. Because it is water based, it works best in mixtures that already contain liquid ingredients and is not suitable for colouring chocolate or other fat based products.
Also known as liquid food colouring or red food dye.
