An edible chocolate transfer print is a method for applying intricate, food-safe designs, patterns, or custom images onto chocolate confections. This is achieved using a special food-grade acetate sheet that is coated with an edible layer of cocoa butter or a similar substance, upon which the design is printed using food-safe edible inks.
How It Works
When melted chocolate is spread over the printed sheet, the warmth and moisture of the chocolate cause the cocoa butter design to release from the acetate and bond with the chocolate as it cools and sets. Once the chocolate has fully hardened, the acetate backing is peeled away, leaving a professional, vibrant, and edible design on the chocolate surface.
